I wrote this post last year in response to the death of David Bowie. In so many ways it's my reason for leaving behind this online space and moving to another.
I think the lyrics of Coldplay's Adventure of a Life Time sum up my why for focussing on our new business adventure Fusion Spaces At the heart of our business is people welfare, because we strongly believe in animal welfare and this is such a logical step for us.
If we do only get one life, I really do want to spend my time on an adventure with Michael and we look forward to talking to you about Fusion Spaces and how we can help you create spaces that improve human wellbeing and why human beings need to go Free Range.
A Couple of Kooks...
I’ve just been for a walk with my headphones and Hunky Dory playing loudly. Oh the power of sound and the images we create in our heads.
I really wasn’t sure how to mark the death of David Bowie, all the words have been said and everything I have heard about his magnificence I second. I’m nearly 50 now and yesterday it took me back to being 17 when I began learning about the sheer depth of Bowie through Michael. It was a day of sadness and the joy that he’d been part of our lives as we reminisced.
I remember Michael would record tapes and leave little notes for me to find with a message and the lyrics. These were priceless love tokens and far more precious than anything else I can remember. Yes Bowie was and is the composer of the soundtrack to our lives together.
I listened to heartfelt, tender tributes to him and message after message telling the stories of how he spoke to misfit kids and teens that felt different. It made me realise I had been so busy feeling different I had forgotten to listen.
So today aged almost 50 David spoke to me, that inner teen that’s been knocked about a bit by life and time got a hug through the headphones. It's easy to join me, just pick your favourite song or songs today and forget the constraints of life and age and just see what David has to say to you.
Thank you David, we wanted you to know we miss you,
